Friday, April 16, 2004 lesson of the day situation: cleaned top of stove. took burners out to clean. replaced them back into their slots. turn burners on to make sure all were correctly placed and fuctioning. problem: noticed big burner was not coming on. 1st attempt to fix situation: tried to jiggle the burner while it was on to see if it would click into place. result: sparks go flying out of burner and loud BOOM is heard as power goes out. threw all breakers to apt, inside and out. 2nd attempt to fix situation: paged emergency maintenance at least 5 times to come to apt to throw breaker back on. was bitchy to boyfriend who was only trying to help. was kept company by tara on phone for 30 mins while waiting for maintenance to come fix problem. ending result: lights are back on. power switch to big burner completely fried (when power came back on burner went POOF again). work order put in to fix rest of stove on monday. lesson learned: DO NOT JIGGLE BURNER WHEN BURNER IS ON!!! lilwolf 10:20 PM
