Tuesday, November 26, 2002 it has been a long long week. work has been HELL but its finally over. we were being held hostage by the corporate stooges. For 5 days the regional vp was in our store and brought our dm, and another dm from another district. They took over our store and made us all feel like SHIT. The only good thing about it was gabe and john being there. At lease they talked to us like human beings instead of two year olds. All this to get ready for the big corporate bus tour. We thought once again that we would bust our ass to get it ready and they wouldnt show...boy were we wrong. They actually did come. It went rather smoothly though, we were ready for them...the store looked perfect. Everyone worked so hard and they left as happy as could be. It was pretty cool to meet the CEO of the company..and other such people. Now i have a faces to place with the names i see so often. im glad its all over and done with now...we worked some crazy hours to get ready for this thing. I ended up working two days in a row from 7:30am to 11:30pm. It was nuts!!! hehe i was banned from the store last saturday. I didnt want to be anywhere near and i wasnt. I spent a wonderful day with thomas. I had a great time. We woke up fairly early around 10 to go get his tire fixed, the one we blew out the night before coming back from dinner at the homeplace. While we waited to bring his car in we went back to his place to watch a movie. So FINALLY i have seen Office Space. I have to admit it was a really good movie. Now i understand what all the commotion is about!!! Its a good thing i own it now, hehe. After the movie was over we dropped the car off..got the new tire and we were off again. We ended up going bowling for awhile!! it was a lot of fun..i actually beat him in a game!!! i mean yeah he had a really really bad game because he was averaging around 176 and higher that day and in the game i beat him in..i won with a 111. hehehe oh well i'll take what i can get. after that we went to lowes...and then off to dinner to Texas Roadhouse. That place is very...hmmm..loud. the food is good but the waiters yelling "YEEHAW" every 10 mins is annoying as all hell. I was happy once we ate and were on our way again. After that we went to Wally world. I had wanted to see about getting the new m&m dispenser but thomas actually ended up buying food for himself too. Boys have some odd shopping habits. He bought boxes of easy mac...crushed pineapple...tombstone pizzas..boxes of soft pretzels and tons of bowl appetites. VERY VERY weird combo of food. After that we just came back here to my place and laid around watching tv and talking. it was really nice. It was exactly what i had missed so much. Im so incredibly happy i cant explain it. anyways back to the present, after the bus tour last night we headed downtown for some celebration drinks. We had a really good time..half price shooters. Lets just say after our third round we started thinking of plan b and where we were walking to so we could sober up. We ended up walking to thomas's house since it was closer. It was a crazy night..chris and brandiff ended up walking home killing my buzz instantly because i started worrying about them. lea left to go to some post party and never came back and my boyfriend was so drunk he passed out and scared me awake all night long watching him. so now im running on no sleep, its been a crazy day. i dont know..lots of things went on last night..just making me think a lot. I guess i should stop doing that..it never turns out good when i think too much about something. Oh well..i'll try my best to brush it off. I get to go home tomorrow morning for two days. It will be nice to see my mom again..its hard going home for such a short time especially over the holidays. I'll have to make it up to her sometime later and spend a week or two home with her. Thomas is going back tomorrow too...i might get a chance to meet his parents too..that will be cool. All in all things have been ok. Katie is coming back soon..so is meg. I cant wait. life is good right now...im happy. how great is that? lilwolf 10:36 PM
