Friday, March 16, 2001 WOOHOO!!!! im in georgia!!!!! let me tell you how great it is to be in a place where you feel wanted. I dont know whats going on back at home but its nice to get away for a few days. Let me start by saying the whole ride down here was a blast. Deanna and I got up yesterday and took off around 10am...we drove straight down here with a few occasional stops (deanna drank too much coke). Let me tell you we drove through some interesting spots, we saw Switzerland!! It wasn't quite what a thought but it was pretty cool, that was right before we went over the Great Swamp! *giggles* After that we finally made it to Savannah and went over the COOLEST bridge!! We were really excited, when we left blacksburg it was all cold and rainy and on the way here it was just sunny and warm!!! OMG how can i forget we saw PALM TREES!! can you believe that?? PALM TREES!!! we were so excited, on the way back we're going to stop next to one so we can take a picture next to it!! It felt like we were driving to some forbidden city!!!! We got to the base around 5:30!!! YAY!!!!!!!!!!! Deanna was really excited, so was I!! I finally got to meet jeff!!!!! He is really cool!!!!!! We hung around for a bit, deanna showered cause she was hot then we headed off to dinner. Jeff treated us to LongHorn, kinda like outback, it was really yummy food. He's such a sweetie, after that we headed to the green room to play some pool!! After that we just came back here and watched a movie, or tried...it froze at some point but I think I was already asleep!! Took me a lil bit to fall asleep cause it was soo hot in here,but when i did I crashed. At 6:30am they shot a cannon off, it scared the bajeezers out of me! I dont think i've jumped that high in awhile!! Woke up around 9am and just laid in bed for awhile, now we're all up!! I wonder what we're doing today?? im sure it will be fun, its about 70 degrees outside if not warmer, sooooooo gorgeous!!! well...i should go shower so i can start my 2nd day here in ga!!!! hugs to all those back in bb that care!! see ya in a few!!! lilwolf 10:45 AM
